Rangiora Showgrounds – Venue

The Rangiora Showground facilities are a vibrant hub for the entire community, providing a versatile venue for community groups, local sports clubs and businesses. The venue offers a wide range of indoor and outdoor spaces that are available for hire at reasonable fees, including the newly built Skurr Centre, the Pavilion, and the Function Centre.

The Skurr Centre is perfect for business meetings or conferences, as it overlooks the Oval and is well-equipped with a projector, Wi-Fi and whiteboard. Additionally, kitchen and toilet facilities are available on-site.

The Function Centre is ideally suited for community groups, such as exercise classes, local sports clubs, art displays, spinning and embroidery groups and photography classes. It is split over two levels and comes complete with toilet and kitchen facilities. There is plenty of accessible parking available for the convenience of attendees.

The Pavilion is a large 30 x 15 metre shed with toilet facilities inside. This building is ideal for inside markets, dog classes and dancing classes.

The Showgrounds host several horse events during the year, including the Springston Trophy in September 2024 and the A&P Rangiora Show held over Labour Weekend in October.

The grounds are utilized daily by equestrian users. We are lucky to have a newly surfaced rubber all-weather arena, a cross-country course, and a polo field that allows us to host a variety of horse events for the local community.
