Calling all keen roller skaters! – Grab your friends and whānau and join us for the Matariki Roller Skating Event of the Year!
Hosted by OPAC / Experience Oxford, this FREE community event is all about bringing our young people together to celebrate Matariki with fun, laughter and plenty of wheels!

Whether you’re a tiny first-timer or a confident teen skater, everyone is welcome! Rollerskaters, scooter riders and future champions alike can enjoy a night of music, fun and community spirit.
🛼 BYO socks and, if you have them, your own skates, scooters and helmets. No gear? No worries! Equipment will be available to borrow.
🐦 Keep an eye out for Mārama the Kiwi, who will be gliding and skating through the evening in style, spreading Matariki magic and bringing plenty of smiles along the way!
👨👩👧👦 Parents and caregivers must remain on site while children are attending. But don’t worry – we’ve created a special Parents’ Chill Zone complete with a sausage sizzle, seating and a place to relax and catch up with friends while staying close to all the action.
🌟 So round up the whānau, lace up those skates and roll into the Māori New Year together!
Because Matariki is about celebrating, connecting and creating memories that shine as brightly as the stars above. ⭐
