Harrs Rd on the upstream side of the Eyre River ford
Whether you’re behind the wheel or on foot, there’s a way for everyone to get involved in the clean-up. While 4WD vehicles will tackle the more remote river tracks, there will also be dedicated areas for volunteers to clean up on foot – perfect for families, community groups, and anyone keen to make a difference.
We’re also encouraging participants to bring trailers to help transport rubbish from the river side to our skips – every bit of hauling power helps! The clean-up will focus on the berms, riverbanks, and access points where dumped rubbish, stray plastics, and other debris threaten the river’s health and natural beauty. Whether you’re an off-roader or simply someone wanting to contribute, your effort will help restore habitats and reduce long-term environmental harm.
The event starts at 10am with a safety briefing and wraps up with a BBQ at 12.30pm. Registration is essential for catering purposes. The meeting point is on Harrs Road upstream of the Eyre River ford and will be clearly signposted from South Eyre Road.
